Metering and Billing Systems Approval Scheme aims to enhance end-user confidence in the accuracy of charges from Communications Providers. It tests and certifies
the systems and processes involved in creating those charges and generating bills.
So in Tempests case this covers the end-to-end billing process from receipt of CDR’s
to despatching the bill to the end user.
Tempest recognised the benefits that Metering and Billing Approval could provide
very early and was the first billing bureau and the first voluntary applicant to
be approved against the Metering and Billing Direction.
